The Role

We're looking for an HR Manager who thrives on ownership, impact, and making things better. This role sits at the center of our HR function, responsible for the systems, processes, and relationships that keep hiring running smoothly, employees supported, and our company compliant as we grow.

You'll work closely with our Director of HR, taking full operational ownership of core HR functions. If you're someone who improves processes before anyone asks and takes pride in a great employee experience, this role was designed with you in mind.

What You'll Do

Recruiting Operations

  • Coordinate the end-to-end recruiting process across hiring managers, external recruiters, and candidates

  • Manage recruiting workflows, systems, and job postings to keep the pipeline running efficiently

Payroll & Benefits Administration

  • Prepare, audit, and process payroll in partnership with Finance

  • Administer health benefits enrollment and renewals

Leave Administration

  • Administer Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML), including eligibility tracking, payroll coordination, and compliance reporting

Employer of Record (EOR) Coordination

  • Serve as the primary liaison with our EOR provider, supporting the full employee lifecycle and ensuring smooth cross-functional coordination

 Onboarding

  • Own the onboarding experience end to end — systems setup, checklists, and ensuring every new hire feels supported from day one

Employee Experience & Culture

  • Execute engagement initiatives, coordinate surveys, and serve as a key employee touchpoint

  • Participate as a member of the Culture Alliance

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Maintain employee documentation and records, and support day-to-day employee needs

  • Ensure operational compliance with applicable employment laws, regulations, and company policies

Vendor Management

  • Serve as the day-to-day contact for HR vendors, managing issue resolution, reporting requirements, and timeline coordination

Who You Are

  • Systems thinker - you don't stop at completing tasks, you ask how to make the system better

  • Employee advocate - you take pride in every hire's experience and every employee interaction

  • Detail-oriented - you own accuracy in payroll, compliance, and documentation without reminders

  • Growth-oriented - you're eager to develop and take on more over time

  • Anticipate needs - you proactively reduce load on others by anticipating needs before they arise

  • Experience - you have at least 5 years of progressive HR experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and you are well-versed with HRIS/payroll platforms (Paylocity is a plus)

Room to Grow

This role is designed with your development in mind. As you build expertise, you'll have the opportunity to take on greater ownership, advise managers directly, and grow toward a senior HR role. We're invested in your trajectory — not just your output.

We welcome applications from skilled individuals whose qualifications may not fit the criteria outlined above.

Base salary range: $105k-$118k
